Let's dispell the myth that by owning a gun INCREASES your chance of being harmed by one. Let's start with if you are black you are 3 times more likely to be a victiom of gun crimes then if you are white. So now should white people fall for the myth that black people are dangerous. No. Just stay away from gangs or gang members. You see Degs many of the people that you site are gange members and criminals that own guns ( wether legal or not ) and are included in the stats. Much of your stats come from gange members killing other gange members and criminals killing other criminals. Not to mention cops killing criminals, gang members and criminals and gange members killing cops. Since new right to carry laws have been in effect, violent crime has gone down. Also ( I know, I've done everything ha,ha ) when I worked as a law enforcement officer ( Believe me, It was part time, I didn't want to become a cop, but my brother was a full time officer and talked me into working as one ) most crimes that were stoped with a gun were never reported. It's is somewhat funny that in some parts of the country ( take washington D. C. ) you can be proecuted just by defending your self with a gun. Because of this, there is no true stats as to how many times a gun was used to thwart off a crime.
