Re: Examine Scientology's ACTIONS, not beliefs
by Love2Read

This isn't a question about Scientologists' beliefs, although bizarre, everyone has a right to believe in (or not) whatever God they wish to. This is about having to escape in the middle of the night like a prisoner of war to stop worshipping. It's about never seeing anyone in your family again should they choose to stay behind and continue to be a Scientologist.

If I decide not to go to mass for a month a Priest does not come to my house and tell me I'm no longer welcome back and that my family will no longer be able to speak to me.

It's a bizarre "religion" as far as their prison like behavior. Their beliefs are their beliefs, but forcing people to stay, paying them $40 a week for 80+ hours of work and cutting them off from their families if they are ever lucky enough to escape - that's just inhumane.
