Here's the deal...

With only 640,000 people in that state, all law enforcement people know, or know of, each other. Some level of conflict is inevitable with such a small pool to draw from.

However, this is an Alaska problem, not a national one. I fail to see why the McCain campaign is so involved at this early juncture. Possibly they see this as a threat; most people would not.

Imagine what a hell it would be for Sarah Palin if the DoJ were conducting the investigation. She might even now be headed for prison--or Monegan, for that matter.
