Do you know anyone under 30? I was in college during that marketing campaign and have never met anyone who voted solely on the basis of what a celebrity told them.

Also you did not address one of my other points was if a person as early as 18 can make a decision to fight (and possibly die) for their country than they should be able to make a decision of who they can vote for. If you look at the ages of people who have died in this war a lot of them are under 30.
