I think they are critical for a number of reasons, including the fact they feel her unqualified, giving feminism a bad name. [Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson showing there were other conservative women out there more worthy of the job.]

But, you point to a major issue. Other women in some basic ways can relate to her life's story, but many too will take some different paths. As a Christian, she must know the importance of individual faith and following the call.

The key is that the individual believer does so on their own volition. Some do judge Palin for her daughter, but the social conservative not only judges, but wants to take choices away. A harsh mixture.
