Osama bin Laden has been ostracized from his family for a long, long time, and in any case the suggestion that any of the bin Ladens are family friends of the Bushes is at best self-serving exaggeration. Better men and women than you and I will ever be have been hunting OBL through hellish country under nearly impossible conditions, without rest, since long before you decided to whimper about it.

Blood is thicker than water. There are photos aplenty of Bushes and bin Ladens schmoozing. And just because I completely respect the veterans of Guadalcanal doesn't mean I'm afraid to call that campaign (as they did) Operation Shoestring.
