Hillary was inspiring, but tonight Bubba lumbers to the mike. And the big dog has some stuff to say.

Barry's folks say he's limited to talking about the wonders of an Obama presidency, rather than revisiting his own "scandal scarred" presidency. So scandal scarred he left with 68%, peace, a balance budget, a surplus projected over ten years to wipe out all federal debt, and did it with a Republican Congress that impeached his dumb ass for getting a blow job from a 21-year-old. The man could sure multi-task.

Can he speak? You may remember his last State of the Union address, in February of 2000. He had already been impeached and was being tried in the Senate, also Republican controlled. He never mentioned it, just talked about the country, the economy, the gains made. Talked like Bubba talks, the kind of talk that makes folks listen.

The next morning, on the fron page of the New York Times, Pat Robertson declared the impeachment fight over. Why? The speech. It killed us. If we go down this road any more, we'll be the ones the people will lynch, not him.

Shortly after the Senate trial ended with a whimper.
