Only if you are attempting a literal interpretation of the story (in this case, Genesis) I was raised in a belief set that didn't, so I, do have issue with it. I also know that of Jewish people that I know (though, I only know one who is orthodox- hassidic, I know none who are ultra-orthodox) not a one ascribes to a literal interpretation.

I should note, they claim other teachings and jewish writings, aside from the Torah,that they follow that explain the beginning of the world differently than Genesis... They consider Genesis a 'theological' text, not a scientific one.
