"Confused in Cubicle Land" is one of the best Q & A's I've read. I've been working in an office setting about 35 years now. Prudence's advice seems very good.

Word of advice to middle-aged guys, get a clue. Young attractive women who compliment you and talk you up are just being outgoing and friendly; they're probably not hinting for a tryst.

Consider the "75%" rule of thumb. If a person is less than 75% of your age, then consider that he/she may be too young for you. I know, I know ... there are exeptions. But don't count on it. Men and women who remember some of the same things (music, school days, movies, etc.) have more things to share and talk about.
