Re: I've definitely learned some things about Democrats today.
by Dervish Finkelblatt

Do you hear yourself? The democratic white male leadership?? These are men who champion womens' causes, Obama included. You are ignoring the very real power you do hold to actually help swing the election in YOUR OWN favor in order to prove a point that makes no sense. Hillary got abused in the electoral process? Well guess what - so have Obama and Mccain, so did Edwards and Romney, so has...well, pretty much every single damned politician to seek office since...EVER. You hold Hillary in such sacrosanct revery that you have completely forgotten to take note that a vote for obama was not a vote against Hillary but actually a vote for obama - and there were simply more of them. A loss is a loss madame, no matter how close. And dirty tactics occur in politics - certainly to no one's great benefit, as we rip apart the credibility of our candidates to the point of total ineffectiveness. But you don't think the same would have happened to your beloved Hillary? All the negative press obama's now getting would have gone straight to her. And then what? Yeah, maybe she'd have handled it impressively, maybe not. But who cares? She is not the candidate. I'm sorry for the sense of loss and dissatisfaction you PUMA's are feeling, but the stakes at this juncture in history are SIGNIFICANT. A Mccain presidency could be a tremendous blow towards world progress and could even trigger conflagrations of violence and warfare unseen since 1945. And you must recognize, all efforts against Obama are, in this political system, efforts FOR Mccain - not for Hillary.Yes Obama's flawed. Yes the revery for him too is troubling. Yes HIllary fought a strong battle. But now this country, nay, this world NEED a liberal counterbalance to the insanity of the past 8 years. To elect an aging neocon more trigger happy than even Bush Jr. - that is true madness. So please, I beg you, I implore you, for the sake of the species future, for all our children, reconsider this self-destructive vendetta. An obama presidency paves the road for many great female leaders to come (and one to play a major role right now - Michelle). A Mccain presidency could see this country plunged into war, poverty, and complete destruction. Please please please think this through a little clearer. There is a greater issue here than Obama/Hillary. It is the future of civilization, and yes, it matters more than a strong woman slighted and scorned.

Thank you for your time.
