Uhhh....., it's purdee well established that persons who let their tempers get the best of them before an audience are thought less of than those who can retain their composure during rhetorical fisti-cuffs. Obama is deft enough to apply some rhetorical Juditsu to any tantrum by McInsane, so Obama will not be looking bad in such a scenario.
Do you remember Bob Dole's bad moment in the 1988 primary, when he responded to some Nader (?) supporter who was dogging him at a New Hampshire photo-op with: "Which rock were you hiding under?"
You throw a tantrum, you lose. No one respects an adult with the maturity of a child.
As for the racial buttons being pushed, an old, stinking rich white guy yelling at a polite, well-spoken, young black man looks a lot like one of the main, ugly, stereotypical images of a more distasteful era, mostly gone by; most people have no desire to see it return and will repulsed by it.
Better yet still if McGoo has an anerysm on stage at the time.
And god knows what will happen if someone flashes the Queen of Hearts at him -- he could well be the real deal when it comes to a Manchurian candidate.
