I think it is pretty unlikely that McCain will run with Lieberman, but I think he could choose him for the cabinet.

And given he is disparate in US issues, but lockstep overseas, I could see Lieberman as SecState.

It would be interesting to see someone the democrats supported as the heartbeat candidate getting confirmed in a Democratic controlled Senate.
