Well, the point wasn't about the plausibility (and by the way, miracles do happen), but it was about why they feel the need to deny anything. Not really that interesting to talk about celebrities per se -- those are just some high-profile cases where denials have been given, despite the fact that it really isn't anyone's business but their own.
