You are both missing the trees because of the forest. This isn't an issue about PC people and misguided attempts at placating every group, nor with their attempts to stifle your use of one of the few words in your meager arsenals of insults or comic phrases. It is about respect for dignity.

Think about other people, if you are capable of wrapping your narrow minds around that concept. Take the word out of the present day context where it is accepted as a form of humor and actually think about what the use of that word means to the people who are mentally disabled: to have themselves used as an example of something so stupid it is funny. Simply because they are unaware of its use in most cases, can't comprehend the pervasiveness of their image in everyday speech and the media as representing the lowest form of humanity, and won't therefore complain of the words use does not make it ok, does not make it "harmless" to use. The media loves stupid, self-righteous people like you two to defend the media's rights to entertain stupid self-righteous people such as you, clever nihilists sitting back to let the ignorant they use for their own gain fight their battles for them. You're part of a vicious circle. But there is no use talking or reasoning with people like you. I bet you two think giving wedgies was great fun, too, and that there is nothing quite as humorous as a burp, lest that be a juicy fart.
