Curling: Sorry, while this may require "skill" it doesn't require much athleticism. It's the same reason bowling isn't in the Olympics. Balancing a check book requires skill too.
Team Handball: This is a sport for people who can't swim well enough to play water polo, can't dribble well enough to play basketball, and can't kick a ball well enough to play soccer. Why not Olympic Dodgeball?
Equestrian Dressage (sp?): I keep waiting for something to happen. The cross-country and jumping events I get, but not dressage. Again, I have no doubt it requires tremendous skill but not athleticism. What about barrel racing? Broncs and Bulls? Any even where the rider is in constant danger of a collapsed lung is an Olympic sport in my book.
And the underappreciated:
Anything else they show on USA and CNBC. C'mon, if you just watch NBC you'd think the Olympics was just swimming, syncro diving, and gymnastics.
