I cannot remember Obama stating that. What Obama did say is that Bush43 pulled troops out of Afghanistan before the job was done and sent them for pre-deployment in Iraq.

Have you ever heard Bush state that if the US doesn't win in Iraq that we will have to return at a future date? It is my opinion that is Obama's position in Afghanistan.

Please remember: Afghanistan is and was the home base of those who attacked the US on 9/11. Bin Laden, the architect is still alive, still leading the al Qaeda terrorist movement and is living well in his condo-cave.

The invasion and occupation of Iraq was a war of choice; Afghanistan was not.
