Socialized Health Care: Ans. One American in six has no health care. This figure does not include the undocumented Americans. Do those Americans get health care? Of course. Who pays for it? The taxpayer and individuals who pay insurance premiums.

Six years ago it was one American in seven who didn't have health care. We are going down the slippery slope where more and more Americans do not, or cannot affort to have health insurance.

I believe that I read (not sure but think its right) that the US is in the middle 30s of industrial nations on health care. For sure we are not in the top 20. How can the richest nation in the world not have universal health care? Call it socialism, call it whatever you want. Regardless, it is in the long term best interest of the US to have health insurance for its citizesn.

Please Note: Iraqis have universal health insurance. Who is paying for that? It seems OK for the US taxpayer to pay for the Iraqi people (s) to have universal health insurance but its not OK for the individuals paying for Iraqi health insurance to have any for themselves.

Ans: In the last six plus years 5% of the entire GNP of the United States has been taken from the middle class and given to the top 1% of income producers. So much money has been taken from the middle class that our economy is almost in (some say already in) a recession. It appears that to take from the many and give it to the few is not income distribution. I keep hearing that the top 5% pay most of the income taxes collected in the US. This is statistically correct. However, if the laws weren't protecting the ultra wealthy how did they acquire so much wealth at the expense of others in such a short time.

Ans: I cannot understand how individuals keep stating that if the US drills more oil wells our energy needs will be met. This is water carrier nonsense. If we start drilling today it will be 10 years before the US consumer will have access to this gasoline. It might drop the price of oil a few cents a gallon.

The only answer is for more fuel efficient cars, transportations and renewables.

"In 2006 Ted Kennedy did not want wind mills in his area)" Ans: Jeb Bush has stated the same thing for Florida. The Governatior in California has also stated the same. This is a state rights issue.

Your positions are well taken. However, they will do nothing to help the energy problem.
