Aren't you supposed to be doing that in the closet? It seems pretty clear that your "prayer" isn't addressed to God at all, which was sort of the point of the injunction. As Jesus said, guys like you who do it in public have their reward--in your case, an extremely self-aggrandizing ego boost. Whatever floats your boat, man.
