Perfectly put, thank you. I do not oppose abortion, but I don't like it either. As to the fact that the woman is in complete control of her body as stated by another commentator, that may be true but the zygote was created by two people, and contains genetic information from two people, and has the ability to be two people's offspring. I find it uncomfortable to say that my wife has ultimate control over my reproduction as well as hers. I do not say there is an easy answer to this problem, but giving women the ultimate power simply because they have to carry the fetus sounds like the societal pendulum swinging too far in the opposite direction, not a real equitable solution. Or for that matter, a good policy.
