was he from west ukraine or maybe kiev (sorry, kyiv)? the further east you go, the more likely they're ethnically russian, they speak russian and are sympathetic to russia, maybe even moreso than their own gov't/country (and the women are hotter too...).

yeah, i do that a lot ('what's this 'the'?!) but i still say it from time to time - old habits...
