i don't understand why the mother hid this from her son for so long. as soon as he was old enough to understand the situation, it should have been explained that his mother helped her close friend and husband conceive, and that these children are related to them. everyone can say they aren't related, but face it. they are. if son were to grow up and start boinking one of these triplets, i ave a feeling no one would be using the "biology isn't what makes a parent" excuse to justify it.

i agree with the poster that said people need to be careful with secrets they keep from their children. they either need to be told as soon as they can understand the secret, or never told at all. keeping something of this magnitude from a child does seem misguided to me. there's no reason that the mother could not have told her son at a much earlier age, and allowed him to grow up knowing how he was connected to these children. he would have a much better relationship with them now, and i am sure would not have these feelings of resentment and jealousy.
