It is my opinion that Obama's Hawaiian vacation is a strategic political move.
First, it literally gives him time to rest up, time to listen to his advisors and look at the figures from the polls. Decisions can be made with the day to day drugery of speaking engagements.
Secondly, McCain is older. I am not stating this in a negative manner. I am stating that the riggers of a Presidental race put tremendous stressor on any individual. McCain is his own man. He is trying to keep the pressure of Obama and will continue to do so until November. The one on one debates are about to start. If one individual is continually working and the other individual takes time off, this should give the rested individual the advantage. (These are opinions)
Thirdly, McCain has limited funds relative to Obama. Americans seem to have extremely short memories about statement bo-bos. Money spent today by McCain is not as advantageous as money spent later by Obama. It is my position that Obama is using an exonomic "rope a dope" strategy that will force McCain to spend his funds too early and the Obama campaign will have huge amounts of money on or about the time of the election.
I think this is an excellent political strategy.
