i got the impression LW was a guy because of how "he" carried on moving the bench everyday yet never saying anything or going through the trouble of talking to her about it? seems like he figured she understood but knowing how us women operate whether she did or not she's probably expecting him to be polite, introduce himself, and mention his rememdy to the situation.
