right - boy who obviously forgot which party threw out the bipartisan mandate with the bathwater 8 years ago.

obama now says he's willing to have select oil drilling as a compromise with republicans, with pelosi following now offering limited support for that as well.what does right-wing do? lobs flip-floppery one-liner zingers around for the umpteeth time like grade schoolers, striking down any compromise for political expediency and a sign of weakness.

it's republican extremists who have infected our political tone with a pall black and white overtone that precludes practical solutions and bipartisanship from happening.

to accuse democrats who have been beaten down by right-wing dogma this past decade as the primary source of the problem today is delusional and ludicruous. right-wingers now blame the cumulative problems of the past 7 years on the democrats who came to barely control congress less than 2 years ago is rich and just shows how chockful of excuses and uncritical apologists the gop has become.

you have likes of schwartzneggar and bloomberg saying as much - current and ex republicans who are actually trying to run an effective government and both conservative men that i have tremendous respect for who are sick of it as i am. by the numbers and the reality of it all, it is republicans who have abandoned their conservative principles and most semblance of critical thinking on the big issues and are running the country on tired, dogmatic, faith-based fumes that have greatly hallowed and cracked america's ideals, body politic, and power bases.
