For the past two weeks now, my roommate and I have have sat down to watch some TV starting @ ~7pm and ending ~9pm. In that span of time, every commercial break that plays we see at least two to three ads for the Pizza Hut Calzones, THE SAME ONE EVERYTIME! (sometimes playing with only one other commercial in between them!) Without fail we switch to the next channel to get away from it and there it is AGAIN!!!!! I know...I know.... they are trying to appeal to the dinnertime crowd, but this is getting ridiculous! If they have all this money to buy up so much airtime, then they must have the means to create new and hugely more entertaining Ads then they already show. Do they think we'll forget that there is a great big juicey hunk of heart-attack on a plate waiting for us to call and order, in the span of a minute?! There is a thing called over-board and Pizza Hut has clearly fallen of the boat. By drowning us in a Calzone Ad campaign, Pizza Hut has driven my roommate and I to the life boats in an effort to save ourselves from the ensuing pizza insanity! Why do we need to be bombarded every two minutes by a drive-by pizza-ing?! I'm sure there are other Ads that are drowning, calling out to be saved and given a chance, grasping at the ropes to obtain the airtime that is being sucked up by these pizza-throwing maniacs! Give them a chance, PLEASE! I BEG YOU! There must be something more worth my Ad viewing time, when I do watch TV! Anything would be preferable, even...dare I say it.... watching those horrible Billy Mays infommercials! At least you can create a drinking game out of them if you are really bored or laugh at how ridiculous he is and if you're about to doze off before your show comes back on, he'll jolt you out of your Ad induced snooze coma with his patented, "Billy Mays here...!" yell. HE at least has different products to hawk to the masses, on each of his commercials. Last time I checked Pizza Hut had more than just Calzones, right? What about promoting the other products they offer?" At least it would be a change from the saturation of Calzones being thrown out on the airways. So I'm sending out an S.O.S to anyone out there who can do something about this. PLEASE SEND HELP! I'M DROWNING IN A SEA OF CALZONE AND I CAN'T REACH THE LIFE BOATS!!!!!!!!! Okay, I think I'm done ranting for now, I need to save my breath for the long swim to shore.
