Few moral arguments
by pink torpedo

have been won by asserting personal autonomy - maybe some virtue based axiology, perhaps Aristotle's justifcation of slavery? That was a VERY long time ago.

This argument will only cut it with the Ayn rand/Nietszchean wannabe crowd.

Better to argue the nature of 'personhood', but the there's that whole eugenics/Tropic Thunder thing, isn't there?

The only real argument is that the rights of potential persons are trumped by the rights of actual persons (ala, Aquinas).

Tough call there too.

Maybe better to limit a necessary evil - at least more palatable to those with moral integrity.
