• the apple is the scientific evidence for anthropogenic climate change (convincingly in the affirmative)
• the orange is the policy response, if any (utterly uncertain due to the vast difficulties with cost-benefit analysis, but - on the preponderance of evidence - in favor of doing nothing)

And no, Virginia, the problem is not industry - for whom is industy producting?....uh, that would be me and YOU - and even if, for the sake of argument, we grant that the problem is industry it most assuredly is not U.S. industry; rather, it is Chinese and Indian coal consumption.
