Have you seen Pickens answer question as to whether he believes the US should drill in ANWAR and off-shore? In the same speeches and interviews he gives promoting wind and natural gas, Pickens says we should open up drilling now anywhere and everywhere we find oil. So, if you're going partially tell his view of things, you're not being fair.

Drilling won't solve the problem alone. It can't. It is an important part of a transition away from depletable energy sources which, if rushed will take years (if we Manhattan project this SOB) to decades (if we the money we spend reworking our energy grid, the right way of course, numbers larger than any portion of the current US Govt budget. We're talking trillions here) without seeing our economy go down the crapper.

BTW, Pickens, the consummate Wind Power advocate, is positioning his company to be the number one source of wind power in the US, if not the world. If he has his way, Mesa Power will replace Exxon Mobile as the number one most profitable company.
