Thanks soccerfreak - you got the meaning of what I was trying to say. I do like the poem. It had meaning for me that was readily, though artfully, apparent. I too like to learn more about poetry and MA is very tuned in and I enjoy reading her posts.

Through her comments and those of others, assuming one agree's the references are valid (as I must since I am not equiped to argue on those issues) then to me they seemed fairly obvious and that sorta bugs me. Not so much that I don't like the poem anymore, but in so much as it's too bad Calder felt the need to wear her influences on her sleeve. That's all.
