Re: sigh. why must we be so self-involved?

Asking a layperson to explain what the experts should have done differently to preclude argument is disingenuous; it’s kind of like saying I can’t complain about my car mechanic’s work because I don’t know more about cars than he does. Thus, I don’t need to be a foreign policy expert to know bad results when I see them, and I don’t need to know exactly what went wrong to be justified in holding my leaders responsible. But if you can cite evidence that Bush and his team are really misunderstood foreign policy savants, then I am happy to hear it. Until then, my opinion remains that Bush and crew have objectively mishandled U.S. foreign policy, including the Georgian situation.
