I guess why I don't watch things like these is because I have never beren great on spectator sports. I never could understand paying to watch someone else have fun when you could use the money to have fun yourself. But to each his own.

Mayber you never paid much attention to the thing I saw on the news about the suits used by the swimmers? It seems that NASA developed the materials that lessened the drag effect and made the swimmers more competitive. To me that is much worse than a little girl lip-synching a song. To me it is like using performance enhancing drugs, because it gives an unfair edge. None of the other swimmers also had the advantage of these suits, so how much does that enter into the equation?

Are we seeing which athletes are better, or how superior is the technologies of the host countries?
