I couldn't agree more! I've had too many experiences of women friends becoming totally unavailable unless they're "between" boyfriends, and it's very painful to be yo-yoed like this. For a dozen weekends in a row, I'm your "go to" person for movies, dinners, etc., and I think we're becoming close friends; then you get a boyfriend, and suddenly I'm sitting home alone. Thanks.

At least with my straight women friends, they occasionally want to do something with "just the girls" and leave the guys at home. When one of my regular movie/dinner friends, a lesbian, found "Ms. Right," she wouldn't do ANYthing without her partner.

I don't understand how Prudence got this one so wrong.
