I really dislike the ad with Jimmy Kimmel pushing subscriptions to NFL Ticket/Network or something. In it Kimmel, that pudgy, mediocre comic-cum-crappy-chat-show-hos­t ridicules football fans who are unwilling to poney up the dough for a chance to catch every NFL game on Sunday--as opposed to the few free ones available from the networks. Somehow for Kimmel, not buying the package is something akin to being a wuss.

I follow the home team and I enjoy the playoffs, but forgive me if I am not interested in lining the pockets of a corrupt, mercenary sports league (consider, for instance, the "blackout rule").

Who pays for the stadiums each team bitches about having to have built every other season?
