Well, there are many things that happen around the world in which the U.S. has no involvement. We tend not to hear about them because . . . the U.S. has no invlovment, and thus, they are not significant news in the U.S.

On the other hand, there are many things in which the U.S. is and has been involved. The U.S. has lately had its fingers in many pies around the world, and Bush (and his administration) seems to have a knack for turning them into cow pies.
