First, my assumptions and quesses are as well founded as those in city hall that push this law; that is, they are all a bit murky and reaching. As for security, beng a driving force, that doesn't seem to wash. Are there more rent-a-cops in McDonalds versus a Luby's Cafeteria or an Olive Garden? Are there a lot of guards pacing heat in the Safeway? Grocery stores do run on a fairly thin margin, regardless of location. However, security is not going to break their back. Still, keeping out fast food will not change these equations. The cost of doing business for Wendy's in this area is going to be the same for JazzGuitarMan's Delightful Tofu Emporium.
