sawbones, i couldn't have said it better. it's a soiled spiral to the bottom and the news industry is latching onto reporting these niche echo chambers of artificial conflicts, the 1% "new" news that have little real-world meaning, and ideological extremism as an easy and most convenient to garner revenue and ad profits. in saving themselves, they are helping to hallow out the democratic republic the press is suppose to support.
