Maybe mom just doesn't like the last name. I have been married three times and have had four different last names. No matter what happens, I am not changing again. Too much trouble. I had my last name legally changed back to my maiden name and dropped the other two last names after I divorced my second husband.

Almost no one could spell or pronounce the first husband's last name. I would respond to any pronounciation because I got tired of trying to tell people how to say it. Over the years I have still been addressed with my second husband's name. That happens when you have kids together. It doesn't bother me. I just didn't feel like having a string of names to sign on a legal document.

I was going to keep my maiden name when I married the third time. My husband wanted me to take his. I did and I feel good about the two names. My maiden name is my father's and my married name is my mom's maiden name. No! No! No! There is no blood relation between me and my husband.

That's what the stupid LW needs to realize. No one that knows them is going to think she married her brother regardless of what her mom and FIL do.
