Mr. Hitchens, I hope you realize you sound just like an evangelical Christian spreading his "Good News". I know you aren't a Christian, evangenlical or otherwise, but nevertheless, that's how you sound.

Here's how I see Iraq: The 'news' could be all good - gold magically appearing in the streets (not far from reality, actually), people happily prosperous, the whole shmeer - it still wouldn't change the fact that this war was started on false pretenses with cooked intelligence, has and will continue to cost America hundreds of billions of dollars, thousands of lives, tens of thousands of limbs, and, oh yes, our national integrity.

But you keep on spreading your Good News and keep on whining that people keep on pissing on it. That's what a good True Believer does because they Know that they are on the side of the angels, regardless of rationality.
