The article does NOT contain one mildly important thing. It doesn't mention Ossetians at all (correct me if I'm wrong). If you present the conflict without acknowledging the key group of people concerned, then it's obvious there is some agenda involved. Applebaum's presentation heavily leans against Russia, hence russophobia.
