Re: Our guy

Nor do I see eye to eye with him on all issues. In truth, I would like to have seen Colin Powell or Rice run. But in a race between a known whose overall life, not just one aspect, has been devoted to the ideals of our country and one whose ideals are too unknown based on too many questionable associations, very little experience and mostly a charismatic appeal, I think I will stick to McCain. Obama's book "Dreams from my Father" speaks of a conflicted young man who has not come to the maturity needed for the job. His "Audacity of Hope" speaks of high rhetoric aimed at an impending run for the Presidency not the real Obama. I don't think we or he will know the real Obama for some time. Right now I see a lot of audacity but not much else.

As for thinking McCain is devout or not.....devout means different things to different people. One thinks of a devout christian, a devout Buddist, a devout atheist....a devout....I am not concerned with his or anyone else's measure of how devout they are.

I am afraid neither of us can say this person is not devout or that person is nor can I presume to know your mind nor you mine. I can simply state what I think and you will interpet based on your own history and thinking and perhaps we can learn from each other if we listen carefully.
