One of the disruptive things about the Dash is that users (and companies) create widgets for it, apps like:

-- Twitter my latitude and longitude
-- Check Trulia houses for sale in this neighborhood
-- Find the closest store with a Wii Fit in stock
-- Look for speed traps ahead
-- Find the next Kinkos on my route

There's an on-line forum for developers and even a third-party dashapps.net run by superuser Mike Tuckman.

Unlike the closed boxes, it's at the beginning of its user-generated life.
