Unfortunately McCain shows pathetic ignorance of basic economics. He does not even realize that the Social Security system is based on pay-as-you go arrangement. That is, today's young tax payers pay for the benefits of today's senior people. Therefore, when you pay your SS tax it is intended for the Seniors, It is not your money. It is money of the Seniors in your family. If you privatize SS, then it means that you are taking away the benefits of today's seniors.
