It's probably a waste of time 'talking' to anyone stupid enough to still be peddling that 'Bush lied' and 'only WMDs' nonsense. The actual AUMF for Iraq lists 20+ different grounds for taking down Saddam in addition ot WMDs. It includes by reference the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, which announced regime change and the promotion of democracy in Iraq as official US policy. Also in 1998, Bill Clinton bombed Iraq for four days ("Operation Desert Fox") on account of the same non-existent WMDs that pathologically partisan morons like you say Bush "lied" about. At the same time, John Kerry (you remember him) was saying that he was more hawkish than Clinton and believed we might well have need to put "boots on the ground" THEN. John Edwards, another member of the Senate Intel Committee (bet you remember him, too) said that he concluded that Saddam had WMDs on the strength of the opinions of former members of the Clinton administration.

The foregoing are SOME of the reasons why you have to be mentally irregular to still be peddling that "Bush lied" nonsense as if we hadn't be warned about Saddam's WMDs by everyone in American politics while Bush was still an isolationist governor of Texas.
