I'll agree that the Atlanta Olympics sucked a big one, not even considering the horrible terrorist attack. Who had the bright idea to hold the summer games in the South, anyway? It's over 90 degrees every day! It was poorly managed, totally corrupt and a general catastrophe all around.

But a backwater? Seriously? We're still talking about Atlanta, Georgia, right? It's one of the biggest cities in the South and has the busiest airport in the world. And you know that Coke is based in Atlanta, right? Honey, every day in Atlanta is sponsored by Coke. And every company in the world vies for Olympic sponsorship, not just at the Atlanta games.

I'm still not sure what the huge fuss over the Atlanta mascot is, I think that most of the mascots are pretty silly. The only thing that Izzy had going against him was that he wasn't as cute as the others.
