Baldy: You really need to heed your own advice on this on, because you are really clueless and manifesting what a damn fool you really are. Please check out the history before making baseless claims
1) Neither the U.S. nor Clinton "invaded" Bosnia, Kosovo, or any other area of the Balkans. This was a NATO exercise from the very beginning. With a failed UN mission, the credibility of NATO waning, and facing a retreat of UN peacekeepers, Clinton took the lead in August 1995 and launched a limited bombing campaign against Bosnian Serb positions. If anything, Clinton was criticized by the Republicans for not acting sooner in intervening. NATO continued to bomb until 1999 while Slobodan Milosevic destroyed much of Bosnia and part of Croatia. In hindsight, Clinton did the right thing in the intervening in the area.
2) In was GWH Bush who first sent troops into Somalia (Mogadishu). With only weeks left in his term as president, Bush senior responded to a UN request, proposing that US combat troops lead an international UN force to secure the environment for relief operations. On December 5, the UN accepts his offer, and Bush orders 25,000 US troops into Somalia. On December 9th, the first US Marines land on the beach. Clinton, upon taking office was stuck with situation and wanted to extract the troops as soon as possible.
3) The U.S. never intervened in the Rwandan genocide, but perhaps we should have.
4) The foreign policy of Bush senior was based primarily on not getting involved in regional conflicts, Iraq '91 being a notable exception. He and his administration were totally unaware of the rise of Extreme Fundamental Islam and the terrorist threats at the time. The '93 bombing of WTC caught everybody off guard, including the Clinton administration. This was being planned while Bush senior was still in office.
I have an anecdote for you Baldy: There's no fool like an old fool.
