Sorry Baldy, there's no comparison.
Let's see, Slick Willie gets a blow job in the Oval Office, lies about it to Hillary and Congress, and gets caught. I would imagine the wrath of Hillary would have been sufficient punishment, but the Repubs, glowing with righteous indignation work hard to impeach him at all costs (read taxpayer’s money).
Now let’s contrast that to Dubya and his neocon handlers including Cheney that decide that they need to do some heavy duty region (not just nation) building, secure the world's 3rd largest oil reserve, avenge an assignation attempt on his old man, and in general just kick some rag head ass. This was the plan long before 9/11, but what a great smoke screen opportunity that provided. So they concoct a WMD line of BS, try to link Saddam Hussein to 9/11, and invade Iraq. They do a lot of shock and awe, unleash chaos and looting, destroy the infrastructure, open up the country to terrorists and Al Qaeda where there were none before, unleash bloody sectarian conflict, and almost start an all out civil war. This complete clusterfuck of an occupation claims the lives of over 4000 American service men and women and 100s of thousands of Iraqis, and millions of refugees flee the country. It will take decades for the infrastructure and economy to recover, we don't get any of the oil that we went there for in the first place, and the price tag is now over half Trillion dollars and increasing to the tune of $3B/month while the U.S economy flounders and our own infrastructure crumbles around us.
So, I ask, if Clinton can get impeached for lying about a blowjob, what should Dubya get for his actions? Don't think impeachment would begin to cover it, but then again, God told him to do it. Do you think God had a hand in Sick Willie's blowjob?
As for the strong economy of the Clinton years, Clinton was the sole architect of the healthy economy of his two terms in office. If anything, he inherited the huge budget deficits of Bush elder and Reagan, and left office with a substantial surplus. Historically, all Republican presidents except Ike have left office with a budget deficit in the 20th century. Dubya will keep the record intact. Furthermore, the so-called trickle-down (supply-side) economy the Repubs have been trying to pass off for years has thoroughly been de-bunked long ago. Nothing ever trickles down from corporations except huge compensation packages for the CEOs and government bail outs that middle class tax payers get saddled with. You're living in Disneyland if you think Clinton's economic success ever benefited from his predecessors. Keep believing that crap Baldy, as your portfolio dwindles to nothing based on the economy that Dubya (asleep at the wheel) and his Repub cronies have burdened the American populous with.
