ard_vrk, this is NOT an example of man-bashing. Go back and read the letter. This woman is not even that angry with her husband. Don't you read any context clues? The LW is not at all surprised. Wonder why?

Damp towels and dirty bath water? Yeah, right! The dog ate my homework. Do you believe that one, too?

The damned virus cannot live very long on an object. The woman would have had to jump on that wet towel or whatever immediately. What are the chances of that? Would you straddle someone's wet towel?

As I said in an earlier post, this man may be a carrier. He could have contracted this disease some time ago. The only other alternative is that he is indeed a cheater.

His wife deserves to know. The woman is not talking about leaving her husband. She loves him. She will forgive him if there is anything to forgive. Don't you think they both should "clear the air?"

This is a health problem. It needs to be addressed.
