Rather than address all of your nonsense, I'll use an illustrative example of it, when you say...
When did you think these awaking councils and "Concerned Citizens" started turning into the Sons of Iraq?
Again, that all started long before the surge was even publically debated, much less implemented.
I know Grandpa lied to the contrary yesterday. Never listen to Pugs pretending to utter facts or history.
FCS_Shwan:
First you think your subject matter experts in interrogation, Now you all want to play armchair backseat general.
So what do you think happened, Petraeus and the Joint chiefs got a map of Iraq and Baghdad then got some darts labeled with the Brigades that went and put a blindfold on?
When did you think these awaking councils and "Concerned Citizens" started turning into the Sons of Iraq?
With the increase in troops we also had a (Tremendus) increase in HUMINT Assets (if you can even comprehend what that means) which meant we could process our tactical intelligence faster, which meant more missions, which means the more troops the more you can accomplish.
Do you not think now that we had more troops in an area, SOME iraqis (since you seem to think they all hate us) would come out and tell us things they didn't before because they felt a little more safe?
Did it occur with more troops we can do more things like establishing IDs for people, and getting a census of people? Or how about with superior numbers and Al-Sadr hanging low doing door to door talks with everyone in a neighborhood?
Of course not, you just want to sit there and say it was just a increase of troops sitting on their asses in a FOB. Meanwhile, Surge units, Like 4th Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Contributed to the decrease of murders from ~50 a month to ~10.
