I too liked Guns, Germs and Steel, very interesting and probably the most accurate view of human history we have seen yet. Don't be alarmed by Fishers atheism, he is a giant of intellectualism and his series is his life long passion about the origins of man, religion, morals and philosophy. I have quite a few of these books and they are great. The ones in the middle of the series are fantastic. Check out the reviews for the books dealing with the rise of religion, Judaism v Helenism and Jesus. You will like the back and forth the characters debate with both sides being very respectfully and thoroughly covered. The books are in paperback on Amazon, less than 10 bucks and worth every penny.
