It was. Between her and Barry she was the better man, but I underestimated Clinton hate.

More a matter of the times than the man. Carter wasn't a bad president, just overwhelmed by events beyond his abilities. I see Barry getting swamped by the inflation his senate votes helped create and commodities sailing off to unimaginable levels as deficits keep growing.

"He'll be as popular as Bill Clinton.."

I doubt it, simply because he's not as smart as St. Bill, not as well educated, nowhere near the experience, and Clinton had the great advantage of Big George laying the foundation for the strong Dollar expansion with his own tax increase. Obama starts out in a much deeper hole with two hot wars and a $700 billion deficit. Not sure even St. Bill could get out of that.
